IBANEZ TS9 VS BOSS BLUES DRIVER

Again, IMHO, these come much closer to the originals of the ’70s and ’80s. The two pedals you mention are very different in the way they sound, so it really depends on what sound you are going after. I mostly play blues and a little southern rock. See our wiki for more! How do I power all of my pedals? You can get more low end umph out of it. The tube screamer will clean up an amp with more low end which can help you get a bit more gain without getting too flubby.

JohnK24Sep 5, Submit a new text post. I’ve been a devoted Tube Screamer user for 8 years but this past year I pulled the trigger on a Keeley and I use it quite a bit now. It’s a little less versatile IMHO.

I saw some comparison videos on the bd-2 and ts9. Do you already have an account? The BD2 adds the base tone with my amp for a great rhythm tone and the TS9 is used for solo tones Sun Dec 08, 5: The BD2 has a nice “cut” to it and can add some nice grit to humbuckers. I will definitely check out the Bad Monkey, Thanks! I have both the BD2 blus Ts7 tonelok version and I like both for different reasons. Gear posts not about pedals do not belong here – please check below for a list of related gear ibanrz.

Never played the Keeley BD-2, but from what I understand, the “custom” mode on the Waza Blues Driver is a pretty close approximation of the Bboss mod. I don’t need a massive amount of distortion, just something middle if the road that I can kick in with a quick tap of the foot.

Sat Dec 29, Fender Stratocaster Guitar Forum. Can you recommend good amps which is just about 20watts but still can produce great tones especially for blues?

It doesn’t colour your sound very much and provides a great range of drive tones. You just can’t beat the clean quiet versatility of the Fulltone pedals. Sep 9, Would love to hear your opinions.

Boss blues driver versus Ibanez Tubescreamer. Tube Screamer is probably one of the most popular. Again, IMHO, these come much closer to the originals of the ’70s and ’80s. The tube screamer will clean up an amp with more low end which can help you get a bit more gain without getting too flubby.

If you want a little les overdrive and a more transparent sound, I’d suggest at least looking at it. Running a low-gain BD2 into a high-gain TS9 gives you a really fat, searing, super smooth lead tone with the perfect amount of compression and touch response. So you mean the Waza version crackles less on higher gain? Well ibqnez my take on it.
